- {alltv} Martha Stewart's chilly lunch with Sam Waksal!
Power lunchers at the Four Seasons on Friday looked on as Martha Stewart sat at one end of the Grill Room with J.Crew Chairman and Chief Executive Mickey Drexler, while Sam Waksal, founder and former CEO of ImClone, dined on the other. When lunch was over, Waksal left without a word to Stewart -- but it's not clear whether either knew the other was in the room. Waksal served nearly seven years in prison for insider trading, and Stewart did five months for obstruction of justice in connection with the case. Stewart's rep declined to comment. Waksal couldn't be reached.

- For all the tall ladies...Martha Stewart offers some fashion advice
I just got an email from a reader bringing my attention to a recent show on Martha Stewart, in the US, that was all about tall people! The whole entire audience was over 6 feet tall...how awesome is that?! Damn, I wish I still lived in the USA sometimes (if you are a regular reader you will know that I am a 6'2 American who is obsessed with her height). Anyway, you can go and view the entire show online where they speak to women about the issues of being tall, where to find clothing and how to style appropriately, etc. etc. The show also featured the lovely and talented writer, Arianne Cohen, who you may remember reading about in Vogue a few years ago.... (I'm going to email her and see if I can set up an interview...she sounds like someone I would love to take for afternoon tea). ...

- Anthony Bourdain: If Martha Stewart asks, do it
With a little help from Martha Stewart, Anthony Bourdain wants to expand America's notion of food porn. Bourdain, the celebrity chef whose habit of slinging strong opinions and foul language has earned him a culinary bad boy rap, next week launches a no-holds-barred satellite radio program on Sirius XM's Martha Stewart Living Radio. Among his goals? See just how uncomfortable he can make co-host and friend Eric Ripert, chef at Le Bernardin in New York. "We're going to be doing a segment that we call food porn," he said in a telephone interview, referring to the excessively sumptuous and sometimes sexualized words and photography often used in food media. "We're going to challenge each other to describe in as purple a language as possible some food we've had," he said. "I'm trying to see whether we can expand the food porn genre into radio. And I think we can do it." The show, called "Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert: Turn & Burn", will run for five weeks starting Feb. 18. It will cover numerous food subjects; listeners also can call in with questions. The idea for the show developed after Bourdain and Ripert appeared together last year on Stewart's radio program, "At Martha's Table." "My feeling is if Martha Stewart asks you to do something, you do it," Bourdain said of the new program. Also on Zimbio: Famous Chefs Celebrity chefs who inspire us to dine in style. ...
- Martha Stewart moves TV show to cable channel Hallmark
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Lifestyle maven Martha Stewart is moving her syndicated TV show to cable television, taking "The Martha Stewart Show" to the Hallmark Channel in September 2010, both companies said on Tuesday. Stewart's five year-old daytime show, mixing celebrity chat with cooking, crafts and interior design tips, has struggled to gain a footing in syndication by NBC Universal, drawing a regular audience of under one million viewers. Stewart's move to cable TV follows that of talk show host Oprah Winfrey, who is ending her popular ABC TV chat show in September 2011 to focus on her Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) joint venture with Discovery Channel. Under the deal with Hallmark and the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia company, "The Martha Stewart Show" will appear across the United States in the same morning time slot and will be followed by 90 minutes of other original Martha Stewart programing. Stewart's company will also develop holiday and interview specials for prime time on Hallmark. Stewart, 68, said she was delighted with the move. "Our core values and content areas -- entertaining, weddings, crafting, cooking, gardening, holidays, pets and humor -- are a perfect fit with Hallmark Channel," she said in a statement. (Reporting by Jill Serjeant, editing by Christine Kearney) ...
- Emeril taking it up a notch on a new network
Emeril Lagasse is trying his hand at the talk show format as he launches a new weekly prime-time series that will mix equal parts music, celebrities and food. Like Lagasse's long-running Food Network series, "Emeril Live!", his new hour-long "The Emeril Lagasse Show" on the ION Television network will be taped before a live audience and feature a band on set. The Food Network ceased production of "Emeril Live" in 2007. In early 2008, the rights to Lagasse's franchise of books, television shows and kitchen products were purchased by Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc., which will share production oversight of the new show with ION Television. Lagasse continues to host "Emeril Green," a Planet Green cable series in which he helps novice cooks prepare wholesome meals. "The Emeril Lagasse Show" will air Sundays at 8 p.m. beginning March 28. ...
